MIKE HALIBURTON
Mike Haliburton, 69, of Levelland, TX, entered his heavenly home on September 21, 2023, with the love of his life, Margaret Haliburton, by his side.
Mike and Margaret were married on November 21, 1981, in Lovington, NM. They had 41 years of marriage and one daughter together, Kattie Haliburton Reid.
Mike was a locksmith who owned Smith Lock and Key in downtown Levelland for many years. He retired in 2019 after his diagnosis of Multiple Myeloma. Mike was a lover of old Western movies, fishing, and BBQ. He enjoyed traveling with Margaret and seeing all they could together. Sometimes, it was as simple as hopping in the car and driving to see how far they could go. His greatest joy in life was his grandchildren, Sydney and Cooper. He loved teaching them all his fishing knowledge, and they loved learning from him. His family will miss him dearly, and we find comfort in knowing he isn't in pain and has eternal healing through Jesus.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Haliburton; Daughter, Katie Reid (Nic) Reid; two grandchildren, Sydney and Cooper Reid; his sister, Karen Haliburton; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jean and George Haliburton. Grandparents Gladys and Edward Asbill, Pete Bounds, and Wanda Bounds.
A visitation for George will be held Monday, September 25, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Resthaven's Abbey Chapel with the celebration of life funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM, Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park, Family would like to thank Interim Hospice for their care during Mike's final week.
