The Whitharral Panther earned a 56-6 homecoming win over the Dora, NM Coyotes in high school 6-man football action last Friday night.

Whitharral scored 50 unanswered points before Dora got on the scoreboard at the end of the first half.

Whitharral led 34-0 at the end of the first quarter and held the Coyotes to 19 yards total offense.

The Panthers only had three passing attempts all night. Jack Griffen went 1-for-2 for 15 yards and a touchdown while Brent Robinson went 1-for-1 for minus three yards.

Nomar Gomez caught Griffin’s touchdown and Brolin Kennedy caught Robinson’s pass. Robinson led all rushers with three carries for 111 yards and two touchdowns. Landon Lee had four carries for 60 yards and a touchdown. Griffin had a single 24-yard touchdown carry. Dawson Rodgers had three carries for seven yards. Rayden Potter had a six-yard carry and Kennedy lost nine yards on his only carry.

Rayden Potter had 4 ½ tackles and an interception. Sansom had 3 ½. Kennedy had three. Lee and Robinson had two each. Rodgers had 1 ½. Bates and Griffin had one each. Tucker Parkinson had an assist.

The Panthers are now 4-1 and will face Throckmorton in Guthrie next Thursday at 6 p.m. Whitharral downed the Greyhounds in a 102-52 shootout last season in Throckmorton. The Greyhounds are 1-2 this season and coming off a bye week.
