Levelland down Chiefs Tuesday

The Levelland Lobos had little trouble with the visiting Lake View Chiefs in a 62-27 UIL district 5-4A high school boys’ basketball win last Friday.

Levelland opened with a layup from Jayden Castillo off the tip and went on from there.

The led 13-4 at the end of the first quarter, then went on a 15-5 tear in the second period on their way to a comfortable 34-12 halftime lead.

The Lobos went on a 13-0 run over the first 5 ½ minutes of the third quarter and led 49-14.

All of the Lobos scored. Taeshaun Jones had 13 points. Jerry Haile had 10. Castillo had eight. Neamiah Campos had seven.

Zameron LeCroy and Ethan Campos had five each. Ladarian Jordan, Eryk Jones and Jacob Garza had four each. Carson Boggs had two.

The Lobos will travel to Snyder on Friday for a 7:30 p.m. game.
