Eight Smyer Bobcats made the UIL District 4-2A All-District High School Baseball Team.

Aiden Martinez was selected as Defensive Most Valuable Player.

Over 14 games, Aiden Martinez had a .944 fielding percentage with three assists and one double play with only one error.

Offensively, he batted .500, scoring nine runs and 16 RBIs.

Austin Martinez was typically the other half of the sibling shortstop-second base duo.

He was selected to the First Team Outfield, with a .906 fielding percentage, two assists and a double play. Martinez had five errors over 14 games.

Offensively, he batted .405 with 11 runs and seven RBIs and led the team with 11 stolen bases.

Kaden Price was selected as First Team Pitcher with an ERA of 7.13 and a record of 3-0 over nine appearances.

He allowed 37 runs on 52 hits with 47 strikeouts and 20 walks over 37 1/3 innings pitched.

Offensively, Price hit .243 with nine runs and 14 RBIs.

Shawn Barrett was in the First Team Outfield with a .944 fielding percentage, one assist and one error.

Barrett was .644 at the plate with 18 runs and 14 RBIs over 15 games.

Caleb Clausen was First Team Catcher. His fielding percentage was .971 with only two errors over 15 games. At the plate, Clausen hit .409 with 12 runs and eight RBIs.

Ben Steele was first team utility player. Spending a lot of time at first base, Steele had an .842 fielding percentage with three assists and three errors over 15 games.

Steele hit .481 with six runs and 12 RBIs.

Christian Hernandez was selected for the second team in the outfield. His fielding percentage was a perfect 1.000 over 15 games.

At the plate, he hit .222 with one run scored.

Colton Burriss was also on the second team as an infielder. Over 14 games he had a .950 fielding percentage with an assist and an error.

His offensive production included 17 runs and 7 RBIs with a .514 batting average.

The Bobcats finished 14-13 overall, 7-5 in district and lost to Olton in the bi-district round of the UIL playoffs.
