4/17/2024 – DISPATCHED 9:22 P.M. – CLEARED 9:55 P.M. – LEVELLAND

The LFD received a report of a dog stuck under a shed in the 2000 block of Buffalo Drive. Once on scene, fire personnel began lifting the building to allow a path for the dog to escape. Once the dog was free, all personnel returned to the station.

4/17/2024 – DISPATCHED 9:09 A.M. – CLEARED 1:18 P.M. – HOCKLEYCOUNTY

The LFD was dispatched to the intersection of U.S. Highway 385 and FM 597 in regard to a two-vehicle wreck. While enroute, the unit in response could see smoke and requested additional resources. A milk truck was identified on its side and the engine compartment was on fire. Once the fire was extinguished, fire personnel remained on scene to provide additional resources.

4/15/2024 – DISPATCHED 7:47 P.M. – CLEARED 8:10 P.M. – HOCKLEYCOUNTY

The LFD received a report in reference to a grass fire near FM 300 and Evening Tower Road. Upon arrival, fire personnel located a small grass fire in a ditch. The fire was extinguished and returned to the station.

4/14/2024 - DISPATCHED 12:01 P.M. - CLEARED 12:20 P.M. -LEVELLAND

The LFD received a report of smoke in the 200 block of Oak Street. Fire personnel responded to the location and identified an individual with an outdoor fire pit.

4/13/2024 - DISPATCHED 6:38 P.M. - CLEARED 6:50 P.M. LEVELLAND The LFD received a report of a man stuck between a house and porch in the 1900 block of Cactus Drive. Upon arrival, fire personnel identified a man who had his arm entrapped in the porch. Levelland EMS began checking on the patient while the unit spread the porch away from the house until the arm was free.

4/12/2024 - DISPATCHED 4:03 P.M. - CLEARED 4:33 P.M. LEVELLAND The LFD was dispatched to a call on S. Highway 385 for an overhead power line that was struck and down on the highway stopping north and southbound traffic. The LFD assisted with traffic control until Excel Energy arrived on scene, were able to lift the line and repair damages.

4/12/2024 - DISPATCHED 8:26 P.M. - CLEARED 11 P.M. LEVELLAND The LFD responded to a structure fire in the 800 block of Avenue F. While enroute, smoke and flames were visible from the structure. Multiple units were used to extinguish the fire.

4/11/2024 - DISPATCHED 8:24 P.M. - CLEARED 8:32 P.M. LEVELLAND The LFD received a report of a gas smell from the 600 block of Poplar. An available unit drove through the area but could not identify any possible sources.

4/11/2024 - DISPATCHED 9:23 P.M. - CLEARED 9:30 P.M. LEVELLAND Dispatch reported arcing of electrical box located outside of a residence in the 1200 block of 1st Street. The electric meter was removed once arching was seen and the homeowner was advised Excel Energy was enroute.

4/9/2024 - DISPATCHED 3:10 A.M. - CLEARED 4:25 A.M. HOCKLEYCOUNTY The LFD was dispatched to a possible grass fire near FM 3585 and N. 385. While enroute, the unit began to see flames and smoke coming from the area. Once on scene, it was determined the fire was a medium sized grass fire. Fire personnel began fighting the fire with rain fall assisting in extinguishing the fire.

4/4/2024 - DISPATCHED 2:20 P.M. - CLEARED 2:44 P.M. LEVELLAND The LFD received a report of a grass fire near the intersection of W. Highway 114 and Mile Road. Fire personnel extinguished the fire and waited on scene for Excel to arrive.

4/4/2024 - DISPATCHED 7:25 A.M. - CLEARED 7:40 A.M. LEVELLAND Dispatch advised of a call regarding a transformer that had sparked. Personnel found a transformer that appeared to have been blown out. Excel was contacted while the unit stayed on the scene until released.
