Officers with the Levelland Police Department’s Narcotics Unit arrested Michael Gonzalez, 23, Tuesday afternoon for manufacture, delivery, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver in a drug-free zone and other charges.

The officers conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of Avenue L on a vehicle driven by Gonzalez. He was placed under arrest for outstanding warrants.

During the arrest, officers performed a probable cause search that yielded an unknown quantity of methamphetamines and marijuana. The officers also recovered a forged check.

Gonzalez is being held at the Hockley County Jail on a $20,000 bond for the manufacture, delivery, possession of a controlled substance in a drug-free zone charge, a $2,000 bond for possession of marijuana in a drug-free zone charge, and a $2,500 bond for forgery of a financial instrument.
